Ministry: Russia wheat exports rise 7.1% to 36.2 mln tns by Jun 17

MOSCOW, Jun 30 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat exports increased by 7.1% on the year to 36.2 million tonnes from the start of the current agricultural year on July 1, 2020 through June 17, the Agriculture Ministry said on Wednesday.

Total grain exports amounted to 46.8 million tonnes in the period, a 10.3% rise on the year. Barley exports rose by 38.4% to 6.1 million tonnes, and corn exports grew by 3% to 4 million tonnes.

In the 2020–2021 agricultural year, Russia’s grain exports are projected at 48 million tonnes.
